Rupert McMurdo was born and raised in New York City. Continuing family tradition he went to the shipbuilding industry, working on the world's largest cargo ships.

As a result of an occupational accident he lost two fingers of his left hand, and that's why he couldn't continue playing drums in his rock band.

But full of technical and creative enthusiasm he decided to realize his musical ideas now using machines and computers. His studio is located in an industrial building close to the dockyard, between heavy industry and the ocean shore.

All this is mirrored in his smart but edgy machine triggered  trax, never obvious, always deep, pounding their way along as if they were a soundtrack of Rupert's own life.
